I haven’t been back in a while but no worries – I have plenty of future projects up my sleeve and have been saving goodies up for you readers! This is actually a project I did a while back. I found this old sewing table on the side of the road around 11pm while coming back from a drunken grocery store walk with a good friend who was visiting out of state. Those are how the best furniture finds happen, dontchya know?!
Anyways, as you can see in the before picture, it was pretty torn up when I got it. We carried it up a big hill and it sat in my boyfriend’s apartment at the time for a few months until I moved. Then we spray painted it black – like any normal person would. π
There is no sewing machine in it but I try to use it as a vanity now. That will probably change as there really isn’t enough room for all of my stuff!
Enjoy, take a look around, and please share if you like it! I will have more pictures up soon once I can locate my camera cord..

March 3, 2013Your chandalier and sewing table makeovers rock! Exactly the two things that I’m making over myself!
I’m only disappointed that I never thought of ” Monrogue” for myself. That’s awesome-

March 6, 2013Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me! π The sewing table is definitely one of my favorite things I own now. I also love the chandelier but am thinking of re-doing it a bit with more clear beads, too. Definitely stop back again when your makeovers are finished – I’d love to see them!!

June 22, 2015Quick question for you about the sewing table. How did you refinish the curling up wood? I just picked up a table and it’s really warping on the top layer. Maybe it’s the veneer?
I’m getting ready to clean it up and use it for a bathroom counter with a vessel sink on top
